Spring 2020 Fashion Trend Report

Spring 2020 Fashion Trend Report

While April is the official start of spring, the fashion world has already introduced us to the newest trends for the season, from modern updates on classics to new pattern favorites. To get you excited for the new season, we’ve taken inspiration from the most fashion-forward women to help bring a spring outfit update to your closet. Inspired from catwalks to street-style, we’ve got all your spring fashion must-haves here, and, not to mention, the same looks for less. (Score)

Let’s get to it, ladies.

Leather Skirts

We already saw the revival of leather pants in the fall and winter, and we definitely expect that trend to carry into spring 2020 fashion trends with leather skirts. Whether you love the look of a leather pencil skirt or decide to go for a cool mini instead, leather skirts are effortlessly versatile for tricky spring weather—just pair with a sweater and leggings for those cooler days and drop the leggings when temperatures begin to rise. No matter how you style it, leather skirts bring that cool, laid-back trend to your ensemble.

Here’s how we style our faux leather skirt:

Updated Trench

If you ask us, there’s no better time to break out the trench coats than spring. Sure, trenches make great women’s winter coats, but this closet staple has gotten a modern update for spring on recent runways, and we’ve got to say, we’re so here for it! Expect to find fresh, architectural cuts and bright colorways in an array of materials. For our women’s trench coat, we’ve gone with an edgy, slick look, keeping with the leather trend.

Slouchy Blazers

We love slouchy blazers for women for a lot of reasons, and we’re pumped that they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Slouchy blazers exude a natural, cool-girl chic, and the borrowed-from-the-boys trend is an easy way to pull together an outfit without looking like you’ve tried too hard. Plus, blazers designed in lighter pastels not only add a femme appeal, but they’re the perfect color update to your spring wardrobe. If you want a more defined silhouette, simply style your oversized women’s blazer with a belted waist.

Check Print

Check it: perhaps our most favorite spring trend of all could be seen all over the catwalks at both New York and London’s Fashion Weeks. What was it exactly? The revival of the glorious check print, of course. This trend is especially ideal when you’ve got a packed day at work and dinner plans on the books, as it allows you to transition effortlessly from one to the other in style.  Tastemakers were spotted mixing check print in different sizes and colorways, layered generously for the cool weather. Not sure mixed checks are quite your thing? Easy. Start small with a checked scarf or statement coat layered over a neutral color palette. Either way, the addition of check print can bring elegance and style to any ensemble.
